Pittosporum napaulense is a medicinally important shrub, it has been extensively used in the treatment of various ailments including snake bites. It also promotes general strength, soothing rheumatic pain, acting as a febrifuge and expectorant for respiratory issues. Besides said pharmacological applications, characterization of key phytochemicals and their associated pharamcological potency of Pittosporum napaulense was least explored so far. In view of this, current study focuses on the phytochemical characterization and evaluation of antioxidant activity Aqueous Extract of Pittosporum Napaulense (AEPN) undertaken. GCMS chromatogram of AEPN revealed plethora of volatile compounds such as, licarbazepine, dodecamethyl hexasiloxane and pentan-2-yl chloroacetate. Furthermore, LCMS data suggested that presence of several  nonvolatile  compounds.  AEPN  exhibited  85  %  of  DPPH  radical scavenging activity at 100 μg and 83 % of H2O2 scavenging activity at 1000 μg. Additionally,   it has shown 64 % ferric reducing power at 1000 μg. In conclusion, AEPN appears to be the store  house of pharmacologically active non-volatile and volatile cocktails attributed to observed antioxidant property.
